2013 William Jefferson Jackson Scholarship
The Washington DC Metropolitan Alumni Chapter is accepting applications for the 2013 William Jefferson Jackson Scholarship through March 28.
Who Can Apply: Full-time students, actively pursuing undergraduate studies at Saint Augustine’s University, who will be classified as first-year seniors in September are eligible to apply. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required to apply. The scholarship is open to students regardless of their field of study. See application for more information.
How to Apply: Scholarship applications are available on campus in the Financial Aid office. Also, contact Coach George Williams. Applications can also be completed on the Washington DC Metropolitan Alumni Chapter web site at http://www.dcmetrostaugalumni.com/wjjackson-scholarship.html. Scholarship applications and all supporting documents must be received by March 28, 2013.
About the Scholarship: The William Jefferson Jackson Scholarship is a memorial scholarship to honor William who graduated from Saint Augustine’s College in 1949. William’s family established the scholarship and distributes the annual scholarship of $2,000 to honor his legacy; his commitment to Saint Augustine’s University; and his belief that alumni should give back to their alma mater in the form of money and/or time.
