Some Saint Augustine’s University students received Christmas presents early this year. Dr. F. Perna Carter, dean of the School of Business and Technology, hosted a finale reception for the State Farm Financial Literacy/Financial Planning Series. At this event, there were drawings for wonderful door prizes that students were eligible to enter when they attended the Financial Literacy/Financial Planning Workshops/Lectures that were held during the 2013 spring and fall semesters as well as the summer school session.

The grand winners of the Financial Literacy/Financial Planning were as follows:

• Joseph Pelesasa, a sophomore majoring in visual arts, won a 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tablet
• Daquan Clark, a junior majoring in sports management, won a 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tablet
• Chanel Jones, a junior majoring in computer information systems, won a Beats Solo On-ear headphones
• Jaquan Leary, a sophomore majoring in communication, won a 39″ Toshiba LED flat screen television
